Merger deals hit by election
UNCERTAINTY surrounding the General Election is likely dampening mergers and acquisitions (M&A) in the UK, according to a report out today.
Increases in early-stage M&A activity in the UK are more subdued than in the rest of Europe, according to the Intralinks Deal Flow Predictor.
The report shows a 10 per cent predicted year-on-year increase in early-stage deals in the UK compared with 26 per cent in Germany over the next six months.
