Maximum excitement on the six nations with sporting index
THE SIX Nations is a really competitive affair and makes for a great betting heat. Scotland and Italy’s wait for a first title in the new format looks certain to go on, so we are down to four teams who could take glory.
Sporting Index traders can’t split England and Ireland on their Outright 60 Index, with the pair trading at 34-37. The Index awards points on where the sides finish in the table (1st = 60, 2nd = 40, 3rd = 20, 4th = 10, 5th = 5 and 6th = 0).
Buyers of the Red Rose or the Irish at 37 would need their selection to finish second to make a profit of three times their stake, or first for a return of 23 times their stake.
Third place or worse, though, and buyers would lose at least 17 times their stake.
England are decimated by injuries and have a tough tie in Cardiff tonight in which they are the underdogs. A loss will see their spread slide and now is the time to get with Ireland.
Ranked third in the world they have arguably their toughest two games – versus England and France – at home and should get off to a winning start in Italy tomorrow.
