Lewis and Nico over China crisis
MERCEDES Formula One driver Nico Rosberg has backed down in his row with team-mate Lewis Hamilton, which erupted as the Briton cruised to victory at the Chinese Grand Prix on Sunday.
Rosberg revealed yesterday that clear-the-air talks with world champion Hamilton and team chiefs had resolved the spat. The German had accused his colleague of deliberately slowing down, forcing Rosberg into a fight with Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel for second place. Hamilton denied the move.
“It was definitely tense after the race but we had a good sit down, a good discussion,” he said. “There was a lot of constructive criticism and now for everybody it is a thing of the past and we’re moving on to [the next race in] Bahrain.”
