Las Vegas Sands’ results cheer
Las Vegas Sands, the casino operator run by billionaire Sheldon Adelson, posted a better-than-expected third-quarter profit yesterday due to strong results at its new Singapore resort and in Macau.
After adjusting for one-time items, Sands earned 34 cents a share in the quarter, up from three cents a year ago, beating the 23 cents per share analysts, on average, had expected.
