Julie Dedman joins Obtala Resources
THE AIM -listed agri-business Obtala Resources has hired Julie Dedman as a consultant and strategist.
Dedman is an established name in the field, having started her first business in 1984, and now runs nine different enterprises in areas like food manufacturing, facilities management, and manufacturing instruments for surgical ophthalmology.
Dedman has also set up the Julie Dedman Enterprise Fund to support young women in Yorkshire and the Humber into business.
Francesco Scolaro, chairman of Obtala, said: “We are very pleased that following a successful site visit to the agribusiness in Tanzania, Julie has agreed to act as a consultant and strategic partner.”
Obtala is a agri-processing, farming, timber and retail company. It has a business based in Morogoro, Tanzania, where it is in the process of getting the appropriate regulatory clearance.
Its shares ended trading yesterday down 4.17 per cent, at 8.62p a share.
