Informa buys £12m Primal Pictures
3D human anatomy firm Primal Pictures has been sold to business media group Informa.
The FTSE 100 firm bought the 90 per cent of Primal Pictures it does not own in a deal valuing the firm at £12m, the Sunday Telegraph reported yesterday. The sale will net the firm’s founders, who are still on the board, around £5m.
Primal Pictures makes medically accurate 3D models of the human body, and its technology has been used on television shows including CSI and Waking The Dead. It also sells its interactive models to medical schools.
Cavendish Corporate Finance advised Informa on the deal, which saw sales of £4.1m last year.
