Hemscott rankings show FinnCap continues to expand Aim client base
FINNCAP continues to add to its Aim-listed client base, taking it up the Aim advisers rankings compiled by Hemscott, a financial data company owned by Morningstar.
The new ranking for the beginning of the fourth quarter in 2010 show that Capita Registrars and auditor Grant Thornton have amassed the highest number of Aim clients, at 637 and 186 respectively.
FinnCap has moved up the rankings, having gained seven Aim-listed clients in its stockbroking business and six in nominated advising. The firm is now among the top three brokers for Aim businesses, with 60 clients, and the top four nominated advisers, with 52 clients. Evolution Securities, meanwhile, lost four clients, slip ping down to fifth place among stockbrokers.
Among law firms, Lawrence Graham has claimed a top spot alongside Pinsent Masons, which lost one client during the third quarter to put it on level pegging with Lawrence Graham, with both having 47 Aim clients.
DLA Piper has fallen one place down the rankings: having shared fourth pace with Eversheds, it lost four clients to take its total down to 36.
In the registrar business, Capita Registrars boasts more than double the number of Aim clients of its nearest rival, Computershare Investor Services, which advises 311 Aim businesses.
The rankings for PR services remain unchanged: FD takes first place with 81 clients.
