Harman International Industries teams up with Toumaz on wireless home speakers
Harman International, the world's largest speaker company, is working with digital radio and smart audio tech developer Toumaz on a Google Cast-enabled wireless speaker.
Frontier Silicon – part of Toumaz – began developing software to use with Google Cast last year.
Google Cast lets users connect their smartphone to their TV or speakers.

The news follows a slew of reports suggesting British consumers are not keen on the so-called Internet of Things (IoT) connecting their devices.
A recent survey by Deloitte found while two-thirds of UK consumers said they believed IoT gadgets could make their lives better, only half of us own a smart device and these are almost exclusively entertainment systems.
Seven in ten shoppers told Deloitte they would not be buying any connected devices over the next twelve months and the only kinds of products owned by more than one in thirty households were smart TVs, entertainment systems and games consoles.

An earlier survey by PwC found almost three quarters of consumers are not bothered about having smart technology in their homes in the coming years.
