CRICKET: England seamer James Anderson took 5-54 for Lancashire against Nottinghamshire on the first day of the new County Championship season. Notts were left on 270-9. However, England team-mate Michael Carberry was out for a duck as Hampshire struggled to 37-3 against Worcestershire.
