Fat Face steps closer to float
FAT FACE’S chief executive said yesterday the leisurewear retailer was “examining an IPO in more detail” as it delivered strong first half sales.
Anthony Thompson said the group, which hired Lazard last year to explore options for the business, was now seriously considering an IPO off the back of a strong first half.
Sales rose 15 per cent to £98.9m in the 26 weeks to 30 November as earnings increased by 57 per cent to £19.6m. Sales in the five weeks to 4 January rose five per cent.
