FastJet takes off in launch week
Aim-listed African airline FastJet got off to a flying start in its first week. Fastjet revealed that it carried almost 7,000 passengers on its maiden flights in Tanzania. It also announced that it has raised an additional £2.5m by placing 66.67m shares with an existing institutional investor and drawing down some of its £5m equity financing facility with Darwin Strategic, a subsidiary of Henderson.
