Dyson enjoys some Dutch delight
England’s Simon Dyson catapulted himself into the world’s top 30 by winning the KLM Open in Holland. The 33-year-old birdied four of the last seven holes to beat compatriot David Lynn by a single shot after a final round of 66. Meanwhile, Britain and Ireland’s amateurs regained the Walker Cup with victory by 14 points to 12 over America at Royal Aberdeen yesterday. The win was guaranteed when 17-year-old Welshman Rhys Pugh beat United States champion Kelly Kraft and then English champion Steven Brown halved with Blayne Barber.
