HSBC Holdings
Europe’s largest bank has appointed Laura May Lung Cha as independent non-executive director. She previously served as vice-chairman of China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) and she is currently a non-executive deputy chairman of The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited. Vincent Cheng also announced his retirement as executive director at HSBC.
Barclay Meade
The professional staffing recruitment agency, part of the Matchtech Group, has appointed Jason Frost as head of finance. Based in Barclay Meade’s London offices, he will primarily focus on driving the growth of the company’s finance recruitment team in the capital. Frost will be reporting to Barclay Meade director Mark McFall.
International Finance Corp
The private sector arm of the World Bank Group announced Nina Shapiro’s retirement as long-time vice president of finance and treasurer of the corporation. She was appointed treasurer of the International Finance Corp (IFC) in 2000 and vice president of finance in March 2003. Following Shapiro’s departure, Saadia Khairi, vice president for risk management and corporate strategy, will now serve as treasurer of the IFC.
RBC Wealth Management
Part of the Royal Bank of Canada, RBC Wealth has hired a new management group led by financial adviser Glenn Pahnke. Previously, Pahnke oversaw $300m of client assets from the financial services firm Robert W Baird, generating $2.4m in annual fees and commissions, and becoming one of Baird’s top producers. Senior financial associate Mark Ackel, Kay Kulbeth, Mona Johnson and Kerry Patel will join him.
Jones Lang LaSalle
The real estate-focused investment company said Hugo Bagué and Martin Nesbitt have been appointed as independent, non-executive members of its board of directors, effective from 1 March.
