Aviva Investors
The asset management business has announced the appointment of Sunita Kara as portfolio manager for European high yield. Kara has over 14 years’ experience in the investment industry. She was most recently at Baring Asset Management, where she was global high yield portfolio manager. Prior to that, she was a senior credit analyst at Standard & Poor’s. She began her career at the Treasury.
Neuberger Berman
Jon Jonsson has joined the employee-controlled money management firm as managing director and senior portfolio manager for global fixed income strategies. He was previously at JP Morgan Asset Management, where he was head of global aggregate strategies.
Chiltern
The contract research organisation has hired Andrew Monaghan as a director. Monaghan has over 30 years’ experience in clinical research and development at pharmaceutical companies. He was most recently global head of safety operations at Roche Products.
Arbor Networks
Moncef Zid has been appointed head of development for North Africa at the network security company. Zid joins from Magirus France, where he was technical director.
Air Partner
The aviation company has hired Paul Richardson as a director. Richardson has previously held a number of senior management roles in financial services, including head of London private banking at Coutts, and head of sports, media and management at Barclays Wealth. He was formerly UK managing director at Helvetia Wealth.
Staysure
The insurance company has made three appointments. Steve Ashton joins as chairman. He has previously held board roles at Saga and Acromas. Andy Bord has been appointed deputy chief executive. He was formerly head of broadband development at Vodafone. Jonathan Cattle joins as chief technical officer, having previously held senior positions at Linklaters and Premium Credit.
White & Case
The law firm has recruited Dr Bodo Bender as a partner in its Frankfurt mergers & acquisitions practice. He joins from Shearman & Sterling.
