Boutique tech bank Restoration Partners backed by ex King.com chair Mel Morris
Boutique merchant bank Restoration Partners announced that technology entrepreneur Mel Morris has made “a significant investment” in the firm and joined its advisory board.
The company, which works alongside visionary entrepreneurs in the technology sector, refused to reveal how much Morris had invested, but said it was looking forward to working with him.
“In the UK, finding the needle of great counsel and capital in the haystack of a highly fragmented professional advisory market, often proves too difficult; especially for time-poor entrepreneurs,” said Ken Olisa, chairman of Restoration Partners. “Mel’s endorsement of our model and the future wealth creating potential of the IT sector is tremendously welcome.”
Morris is the former chairman of King.com, the company behind hit mobile game Candy Crush, and comes to Restoration Partners with more than 30 years’ experience in consumer and B2B software businesses.
“I have known and worked with Ken and Restoration Partners over many years and I am looking forward to working with him to take advantage of the next wave of growth in the IT market,” said Morris.
“As a tech entrepreneur, I have personally validated and benefitted from the methodologies and access to capital that Restoration Partners provides. I am therefore delighted to join their journey”.
