BILL OF THE WEEK
It was off to Mayfair haunt Just St James on Thursday, as the owner of one of the local boutique firms treated his team to a slap-up lunch.
Our diners toasted their work with three bottles of Pol Roger champagne before moving on to starters of lobster ravioli, beef carpaccio and rabbit terrine. They then moved on to mains of fillet of beef, Highland grouse and king scallops, washed down with a number of bottles of New Zealand Cloudy Bay sauvignon blanc and a fine French red, Chateau Gruaud Larose 1997.
This being a celebration and all, they didn’t skimp on the desserts, knocking back chocolate soufflé and peach melba with their coffees before rolling back to the office deliciously sated.
