Benitez warns of Bridge low
CHELSEA manager Rafael Benitez has warned his players they must rediscover their clinical touch in order to kick start their home form against Southampton tonight.
The Blues have lost successive matches at Stamford Bridge – to Queens Park Rangers and Swansea – and have failed to score in four of six home games under Benitez.
“We are doing very well away, but at home the other teams wait deep and we have less space,” said Benitez. “We are still creating chances but we have to be more clinical.”
Benitez insists captain John Terry needs more game time to regain full match fitness after coming off the bench at Stoke last weekend. Victory would take Chelsea four points off second placed Manchester City.
