Balfour Beatty orders on track
BALFOUR Beatty, Britain’s largest infrastructure contractor, said its order book had grown since the end of 2010 and trading so far this year was in line with its expectations.
The company said yesterday its businesses had adapted well to the uncertainty in government capital expenditure in the UK and the US in the first four months of the year and that it was “encouraged” by the progress made so far.
Balfour Beatty said its order book was ahead of the £15.2bn it reported at the end of 2010, despite a hit from foreign exchange translation.
