ING staff watch video about their new home
STAFF at Dutch bank ING’s London office were left in little doubt last week about how close their new offices are going to be when they move in 2016. Lucky employees were treated to a video presentation that showed someone walking out of their current office at 60 London Wall, turning left, then left again and ending up, bada bing!, at the new (still under construction) offices at 8 – 10 Moorgate. That’s cleared that up then. The video was shown in what ING curiously refers to as the Town Hall, a fancy name for its client suite. Hopefully the new office comes complete with a similar community space in which staff can be privy to these major strategic decisions.
SOME refreshing insight into life in the Carney household came last week in the form of a brand new blog post by Mark’s wife Diana, in which she discusses eco laundry and cleaning products including Canadian company Dizolve, which makes detergent in material strip form: “I was worried the product would not dissolve properly, but it did (the name rings true!), and the cleaning power was good too.” Spoken like a woman who still does her own laundry. Respect. The UK’s first lady of economics has had her “Eco products that work” blog since 2011 but this latest musing could be her swan song: “With that, I am going to sign off for a while…But, like many other blog writers, I find it hard to fit this extra activity into my busy life.” Perhaps she should draft in some help with the laundry.
