Aiming for new heights at Le Bourget
THE JET gymnastics were impressive and the multi-billion dollar deals even more so yesterday. Yes, it must be time for the Paris air show – the largest of its kind in the world.
French President Francois Hollande (bottom left) took a break from Greek debt talks to watch other death-defying feats from Le Bourget airport’s tarmac.
The flying display at the event’s launch included the Dassault Raffale (left), Bombardier’s new jetliner CS300, the Gulfstream N450 GA, the military plane Airbus A400M as well the A380, the world’s largest passenger jet, made by the same European manufacturer.
The show brings representatives from plane manufacturers, engine makers, defence personnel, luxury private carriers and airlines together to get deals signed and show off new technology.
