The company yesterday said it expected sales for 2009 to be up at least 28 per cent on the previous year’s figure in excess of £60m. Sales for 2007 were just over £45m.
Links, known for its popular “sweetie bracelets” in silver and gold, said its success reflected its ability to provide the “highest quality at an affordable price”.
Chief executive Andrew Marshall said: “It is a huge achievement to have had a record year in 2009, a challenging time for retailing in general.
“This was in no small part due to the increasing recognition by our customers, both in the UK and internationally, of our uniquely adopted and strict ethos of providing ‘honest luxury’.”
Links, founded in 1990, has 42 outlets across the UK and 44 more internationally.
