ANALYST VIEWS: WHAT DO YOU THINK OF SAVILLS’ RESULTS?
NAN ROGERS | COLLINS STEWART
The figures were a little bit better than we were expecting, with the transactions business improving more than we had hoped. The dividend was also significantly higher. The Asian market could drop back this year, just because it was so strong in 2010, but the US market is looking particularly positive.
CHRIS ALEXANDER | BNP PARIBAS
Savills reported a bumper year that beat forecasts on all levels. This year the temptation will be to raise estimates, but over-exuberance should be tempered by the potential success of anti-property speculation measures being pursued by authorities in Hong Kong, Singapore and China.
CHRIS MILLINGTON | NUMIS
Savills has reported very strong full-year results, in line with our forecasts following a November upgrade. London residential and Hong Kong/China transactions remained the drivers, but improvements elsewhere provide an encouraging backdrop to the business. The outlook feels notably improved.
