TSB has appointed Niv Subramanian as customer solutions director for its small and medium enterprise (SME) banking leadership team. Niv brings a combination of experience across strategic, commercial and operational roles in retail, commercial and corporate banking, with a keen focus on transforming the SME banking market.
She joins TSB from HSBC Commercial Bank where she led global lending product management, alongside its digital SME bank development. Prior to this, Niv was a member of the early executive committee at Oaknorth Bank, where she was instrumental in building the initial proposition, infrastructure, and obtaining its regulatory licence.
She has previously worked at Barclays and GE Capital. She will lead all aspects of developing SME customer proposition and product set, as part of TSB’s launch of a leading business banking offer over the coming months.
Yapster, the mobile messaging app for retail and hospitality teams, has announced the appointment of Nicci Setchell as its first chief financial officer. She will also take on chief operating officer responsibilities in a joint role.
Nicci joins from Just Eat Group, where she spent the last six years, most recently as global strategic lead. Before that she was head of finance M&A and integration, completing 18 acquisitions. As head of international finance she grew the international finance team from eight to 24 across 12 countries.
Her other prior roles include international financial controller for NFL Europe and management accountant for Tottenham Hotspur.
Barclays Wealth Management has appointed two new wealth managers, Ellen Cornelious and Ian MacKinnon, as it continues to expand its operations across the UK.
The new roles, created during a period of continued growth for the business, will see Ellen and Ian responsible for supporting and driving the Barclays Wealth Management offering forwards across Bristol, the south-west and Wales.
Ellen joins Barclays with considerable industry experience, most recently from Santander where she worked as a financial planning manager. Prior to this, Ellen was based in Hong Kong with HSBC where she catered for the investment, protection, banking and FX needs of clients across south-east Asia.
Ellen will be located in Bristol. Ian has an extensive career in wealth management and joins Barclays from Brown Shipley where he worked as the private client director. Ian has also held various senior positions at HMRC and Grant Thornton, specialising in pensions and taxation. Ian will be based in Exeter.
