John Lewis is resisting calls to pull advertising from newspapers over their editorial coverage.
The retailer issued a statement as campaign group Stop Funding Hate steps up efforts to encourage companies not to advertise in the Daily Mail, Sun and Daily Express.
The campaign group has even launched a “brandjamming” video urging John Lewis not to advertise in these newspapers.

But John Lewis said: “We fully appreciate the strength of feeling on this issue but we never make an editorial judgement on a particular newspaper.”
Over the weekend, Lego said in a statement that it was “not planning any future promotional activity” with the Daily Mail.
The statement was claimed as a victory by the Stop Funding Hate. But Daily Mail owner DMGT said in response: “Our agreement with Lego has finished and we have no plans to run any promotional activity with Lego in the foreseeable future.”
