Labour wants more towns
BUILDING new towns around London will ease the pressure on property prices in the capital, Ed Miliband said yesterday, promising more homes should he win the next election.
The Labour leader also called for council tax on empty homes to be doubled to discourage investors from leaving property uninhabited.
Writing in the Evening Standard Miliband also said developers should have to advertise to Londoners when selling new flats, not just to overseas buyers.
