Active customers increased from 1.88m to 2.48m and the number of orders made soared by 34.5 per cent to 8.m9. The total number of meals delivered in the first quarter reached 65.6m, an increase of 35.8 per cent.
The boost in numbers was driven by success in the US, where active customers increased by 28 per cent from the fourth quarter of last year to 2.48m in the first three months of 2019.
Growth in the US was supported by the development of Hello Fresh’s three brands including the successful ramp up of the Everyplate and Green Chef brands.
Dominik Richter, chief executive and co-founder of Hello Fresh, said: “We have had a very successful first quarter, with strong customer growth and consistent margin expansion.
