GDP growth slows to 0.2 per cent
Growth in the UK economy stuttered in the three months to 30 June.
Gross Domestic Product (GDP) grew by 0.2 per cent in the second quarter, according to the Office for National Statistics.
That compared with 0.5 per cent in the previous three months, but contracted by 0.5 per cent in the last three months of 2010.
The ONS said that growth had been slowed by some one-off factors such as warm weather and the effects of the Japanese earthquake and tsunami.
