Norton Rose
The law firm has made two new additions to its dispute resolution practice. Paul Morris joins as partner from Denton Wilde Sapte, where he was a partner and joint head of dispute resolution. He is an experienced contentious corporate trustee practitioner. Also joining the firm as partner is David McKie, who is moving from DLA Piper where he was a partner and marine and shipping dispute specialist. He has over 14 years’ experience in the London market.
London Square
The residential developer has hired Mark Pain as chairman to join chief executive Adam Lawrence. Pain has been a non-executive director at Northern Rock since the start of the year, and is also the senior independent director at Johnston Press. He has also held senior management positions at Barratt Developments and Abbey National.
AllianceBernstein
The investment manager has expanded its real estate group with the appointment of Paul Vosper. He will be based in London and a member of the investment committee. Vosper joins the firm from Morgan Stanley Investment Management where he was most recently the global chief operation officer for the real estate funds business, and has more than 18 years of experience in the public and private real estate markets, structured finance, mortgages and corporate capital markets.
Moss Bros
The suit specialist has appointed Robin Piggott as group finance director, with effect from 28 June. He will take over from Bryan Portman, who has been interim chief financial officer since April. Piggott most recently worked at Alexon Group, which he joined in 1987 and took up the role of finance director in 1995. He has also held financial roles at Granada and Geest Industries.
Sacker & Partners
The pensions law firm has hired Emma Martin as a solicitor. She qualified at the City office of Jones Day, and joins Sackers to specialise in pensions law. Martin is a Cambridge University history graduate and has experience in advising on a variety of pension schemes.
