AMEC
The international engineering and project management group has appointed Deloitte’s John Connolly as its new chairman, to succeed Jock Green-Armytage. Connelly will retire from his current role as chief executive of Deloitte UK and global chairman of Deloitte Touche Tohamatsu on 31 May and will join the Amex board on 1 June. Connelly is also a member of a number of advisory bodies, including the International Business Advisory Councils for London and for Rome, and the CBI Advisory Board.
Lloyds Banking Group
Lloyds Bank Corporate Markets has promoted Simon Dixon to director in its Acquisition Finance team in Leeds. Dixon has worked in Lloyds’ Acquisition Finance team since 2006.
Chadbourne & Park
Martin Thomas and Dearbhla Quigley will join the law firm’s London office as partners, effective 1 June, and Magnus Rodrigues has joined as an international partner. Thomas and Quigley were previously partners at Hunton & Williams, while Rodrigues was a counsel at Clifford Chance in Singapore.
Citisoft
The investment management consulting firm has recruited Steve Young as head of business development and Neil Craddock as chief operating officer of Europe. Young previously built up Rhyme Systems, following its MBO from Misys, and Craddock was a principal consultant and head of Citisoft’s wealth management practice.
Sovereign Capital
The private equity firm has appointed Manish Miglani to its investment team to work across the Direct Origination and Deal Execution teams. Previously, Manish worked at Terra Firma Capital Partners and Aureos Capital.
Bluefin
Bluefin Corporate Consulting has appointed Robert Mitchell as client relationship manager. Mitchell joins from Mercer, where he was a client service adviser.
Pinsent Masons
The law firm has appointed partner Carolyn Saunders as the new head of its London Pensions Group. Saunders joined the firm in September 2010 from Taylor Wessing.
