Cahill and Hart receive England call
ENGLAND boss Fabio Capello last night drafted in goalkeeper Joe Hart and defender Gary Cahill into his squad for the World Cup qualifiers against Ukraine and Belarus after Paul Robinson and Joleon Lescott pulled out with injuries.
Lescott picked up a calf injury playing for Manchester City against Aston Villa on Monday, while Blackburn keeper Robinson suffered a hip problem in Sunday’s 6-2 defeat by Arsenal.
Bolton centre-back Cahill travelled with the senior squad to Kazakhstan in June but is still yet to make his international debut, while Hart has been rewarded for his promising early-season form while on loan at Birmingham.
Meanwhile, Arsenal winger Theo Walcott has been called up for the England Under-21 squad to face Macedonia on Friday.
Walcott was left out the senior squad after having just recovered from a back injury but Under-21 boss Stuart Pearce has drafted him in to replace injured Lee Cattermole following talks with Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger.
