Bell sees a new threat in Sri Lanka
ENGLAND batsman Ian Bell insists Sri Lanka represent a real threat to his side’s Test ambitions this summer.
The tourists, whose champion spinner retired from international following the World Cup in March, wrapped up a four-wicket win over Middlesex in their first tour match at Uxbridge yesterday.
Bell said: “It will be different facing them with no Murali, but Sri Lanka, out of all the subcontinent sides, always have streetwise cricketers. We are going to have to bowl well against them, that’s for sure.”
