Workplace gender equality lags in the UK

The UK is a below average performer among developed countries when it comes to enabling women to progress in the workplace, according to PwC’s women in work index 2013. From a sample of 27 OECD countries, the UK ranks eighteenth, with a high gender pay gap and low labour force participation rates weighing it down.
