US private sector job creation weak in April

The ADP jobs report, which is a measure of private sector employment in the US, has failed to meet expectations as only 119,000 new jobs were added in April. Analysts had predicted a further 150,000 jobs would be created. Manufacturing jobs fel by 10,000.

Earlier Reuters reported that analysis of tax data by TrimTabs Investment Research showed that only 67,000 jobs were added in the US in April, the lowest increase since September 2011.
