Think tank sees UK growth accelerating

The UK's economy grew by 0.8 per cent from February to April compared to the period November to January, according to new figures.

Estimates provided by think tank the National Institute of Economic and Social Research suggest that a sluggish pace of growth may be accelerating as in the first three months of 2013 the UK only saw growth of 0.3 per cent.

However compared to previous recessions, the speed of recovery is still remarkably slow.
