Supermarket products found to be horse-free

The British Retail Consortium reports that the UK's largest supermarkets have found no horse after testing all their processed mince products. Having run 361 tests on 103 products, no new positive results have been found.

The Food Standards Agency is expected to report on a wider range of tests later today. Laboratory tests are being performed to assure that the presence of any horse accounts for less than one per cent of the product. Limitations on testing do not allow for greater accuracy than this.
