Portuguese Prime Minister says he won't resign, has no reason to resign

Portuguese Prime Minister Pedro Passos Coelho has said that he won't resign, and that he hasn't resigned because he has no reasons to. This follows the resignation of the leader of his coalition's junior partner.

Coelho now says that he will do everything he can to keep the government going and that people are more frightened of a general election than sticking with the Portuguese austerity programme, which is widely given as the reason for the current political crisis.
