Mobile phones producer Nokia has announced that it has won a court injunction preventing HTC from using microphone components made by STMicroelectronics NV in HTC One phones. Nokia stated that the components were designed by and exclusively manufactured for Nokia.
HTC has no license or authorization from Nokia to use these microphones or the Nokia technologies from which they have been developed.
HTC said that it was disappointed with the decision, however this case is just one of around 40 patent infringement cases that Nokia has filed against HTC.
