Morsi rejects army ultimatum

Egyptian president Mohamed Morsi has rejected a 48 hour ultimatum issued by the army to resolve the political crisis gripping the country. He said that he was not consulted by the army, and that a part of the statement "may cause confusion in the complex national scene”. Morsi added that the presidency would remain on its “pre-planned path to hold a comprehensive national reconciliation".
