Crisis-stricken Greece will be hit by a 24-hour general strike on 16 July 2013.
ADEDY and GSEE, Greece’s public and private sector unions, are coordinating the strike over lay offs in the public sector, which are one of the conditions for the country to continue receiving outside aid.
GSEE have said the job cuts were unfair.
The government and the lenders need to finally realise that we are people - not numbers.
Our fight will continue and it will intensify as long as those who take decisions insist on driving the people to poverty.
Protests will begin at 1230 at Klafthmonos Square in downtown Athens. There will also be a protest at the square tomorrow, when civil servants will stop working at 1200.
