Eurozone producer price index goes deflationary in April

Eurozone factory price inflation, measured by the producer price index (PPI), has dropped to -0.2 per cent in the year to April. Economists had forecast inflation of 0.3 per cent from 0.6 per cent previous (revised from 0.7 per cent).

The aggregate figure obscures a huge variation amongst Eurozone nations, as countries such as Estonia saw PPI rise by 11.3 per cent in a year.
