Eurozone confidence slumps in April

New figures show that economic confidence dipped faster than expected in April, as the economic sentiment indicator slid from 90 to 88.6. This was a greater drop than to an anticipated 89.3.

Other measures also fell faster than expected, as business climate fell from -0.75 to -0.93, industrial confidence from -12.3 to -13.8 and services sentiment declined from -7 to -11.1. Only consumer confidence improved, from -22.3 to -23.5.
