Burberry revenues up on Chinese popularity

Burberry's revenues rose for the six months to March to £1.116bn, ahead of estimates of the company's forecast of £1.098bn. The rise was driven by a strong increase in demand from Chinese customers, which contributed to the 10 per cent rise in fourth quarter revenue.

Second-half wholesale revenue fell by three per cent on the back of weak European tourism which hit consumption and small firms.
