The Bank of England has appointed three new executive directors, it said this morning.
Jo Place, who has worked for the Bank of most of her career, has been appointed as executive director of human resources, replacing Catherine Brown, who left the Bank in July.
Two new executive director roles have been created and will be filled by Andrew Gracie, who is currently director of the Special Resolution Unit (SRU). Gracie will take the role of executive director, Special Resolution. The SRU, established under the 2009 Banking Act, plans for an implements resolutions of failing UK lenders. John Finch, who joined the Bank in September of this year as interim chief information officer, has been appointed to the new role of chief information officer and executive director, Information Service and Technology.
Governor Mark Carney said: “I am delighted to announce these new Executive Director appointments. Jo, Andrew, and John have a wealth of valuable knowledge and experience that will add considerable expertise to the Bank’s senior management team.”
