WORLD No1 Tiger Woods secured his fifth title of 2013 last night when he coasted to victory in the WGC Bridgestone Invitational.
Woods shot a final-round 70 to finish 15 under par, seven shots clear of compatriot Keegan Bradley and Swede Henrik Stenson, to claim the title for an eighth time at Firestone Country Club in Ohio.
Having stormed ahead on Friday with an eye-watering 61, Woods was able to cruise to victory during the weekend’s play.
England’s Luke Donald slipped towards the end, finishing four under par.
Meanwhile, American Stacy Lewis won her second career Major yesterday at the Women’s British Open at St Andrews, where the final two rounds were both played on Sunday following bad weather on Saturday.
