BAE Systems
Tom Arseneault has been appointed executive vice president, product sectors, and chief technology officer of the defence giant. He most recently served as president of BAE’s electronic systems sector, and joined the company in 2010. Additionally, Larry Prior, current executive vice president, service sectors, will become chief operating officer.

Mercer
Aled Jones has been appointed head of responsible investment for Europe, Middle East and Africa at the human resource consulting firm. He joined in 2011 as a consultant, and previously worked for the London Pension Authority, Jupiter Asset Management and F&C Investments.

LV
The insurance, investment and retirement group has appointed Mark Laidlaw as its chief actuary. He joins from Aegon, where he was executive vice president for Solvency II. Laidlaw worked at Aegon for 20 years, and held numerous roles in its UK business, including chief risk officer, chief financial officer and director for shareholder value.

Alpari
The foreign exchange broker has announced management changes. Andrey Vedikhin, co-founder and chief executive of Alpari UK, will become its chairman. Daniel Skowronski, currently chief commercial officer, will replace him as chief executive. By autumn 2012, Skowronski will take control of its subsidiaries in Germany, Japan and India.

Lloyds Bank
Andrew Edwards has been appointed managing director and head of portfolio management at the bank’s wholesale banking and markets division. He joins from Barclays Bank, where he was head of balance sheet management, Barclays Corporate. Edwards has also served as global head of risk analytics and strategy, Barclays Corporate, and head of portfolio management, Barclays Commercial.

OneSavings Bank
The mutual bank has appointed April Talintyre to its board as finance director. She previously worked for Goldman Sachs International for over 16 years, most recently as executive director in the Rothesay Life pensions insurance business. Talintyre began her career at KPMG.

The digital music firm has appointed Kelaine Blades as vice president of global marketing. She has over 18 years’ experience in marketing roles and joins from AeroMobile, the airline technology company. Blades has also held similar roles at Velti and Novarra.
