WHERE SMALL PLATES RULE
KOPAPA, COVENT GARDEN WWW.KOPAPA.CO.UK
From the same Kiwi genius behind Providores on Marylebone High Street, this is a hodgepodge of Asian-fusion and – despite not being a trendy concept anymore – it seems to be going down a treat. If you fancy a plate of coconut sticky ribs, some beautiful smoked duck magret and grilled aubergine with tamarind caramel all at once, this is your place.
BAR BATTU WWW.BARBATTU.COM
Nestled in the heart of the City on Gresham Street, Bar Battu does what Terroirs does, almost as well. Small plates of rillettes, terrines, potted this and that and some delicious meat (we loved the bavette and the ox cheek) are accompanied by an exciting, biodynamic wine list. Naturally sparkling white wine was a standout.
