What’s that coming over the hill? 5k sumo runners obviously

FANCY a bit of pseudo Sumo sporting activity this summer? The suits may be inflatable as opposed to the real thing, but wrestling fans ought to get their fix of feisty fun running at the Battersea Park 5k on 28 July.

An inflatable sumo suit is the mandatory dresscode at the annual event, which last year set a Guinness World Record for the largest gathering of people running – and wobbling – around the course in the giant costumes.

Sponsorship money raised this year will benefit the charity Link Community Development.

■ To the Hilton on Park Lane yesterday for a lunch to celebrate the official winners of the 2013 British Council for Offices awards. There were four offices taking home trophies from the capital. 123 Victoria Street, 50 Grosvenor Hill, 78 Cannon Street and Great Portland Estate’s bespoke redevelopment of One Sixty all won gongs. The former swanky address is home to Jimmy Choo and John Lewis amongst others – and is in good company with the snazzy Google building sitting just round the corner. Let’s just hope all those designer high heels don’t damage the building’s award-winning pebbled terraces.
