WANdisco wins Big Data client

WANdisco, the Sheffield-based software firm that was one of 2012’s rare UK technology floats, yesterday said it had won its first customer in the Big Data market. The company, which built a reputation on its technology that allows firms to share information, made a push into Big Data at the end of last year, which included acquiring US firm AltoStor. WANdisco said the unnamed customer was one of the world’s biggest telecoms firms.
