A MAN of his word, Virgin boss Sir Richard Branson got dressed up as an air stewardess at the weekend, after losing a bet with Air Asia boss Tony Fernandes over who would win the Formula One Grand Prix.
Not only did Branson apply full slap including red lipstick to serve Air Asia passengers – he even shaved his legs for the Kuala Lumpur flight. Above and beyond the call of duty, indeed.
■ LONDON 2012’s Olympic glory has still got prize-winning appeal – as last night’s Bafta haul for Games-related shows revealed. BBC Olympic satire Twenty Twelve won best sitcom at the TV awards, with star Olivia Colman claiming the gong for best supporting actress. Meanwhile Channel 4’s London 2012 Paralympic Games won the prize for best sport and live event and Clare Balding won a Bafta Special Award for presenting both the Paralympics and the Olympics. Balding said she would not have won “without the magic of last summer”. Hear hear.
