Veteran telecoms boss quits board of SpinVox
TROUBLED voice-to-text messaging firm SpinVox has parted ways with director Patricia Russo, the former boss of telecoms equipment giant Alcatel-Lucent, just two months after her appointment to the board.
Russo, whose extensive experience in the sector would have proved invaluable to SpinVox, had been advising the firm on its strategy since the beginning of the year and became a director on 2 June.
But she left on 10 August, company records show, shortly after her appointment to the board of struggling US carmaker General Motors.
SpinVox is currently embroiled in controversy over its technology, after it emerged last month that a proportion of its messages are translated manually rather than automatically, by workers outside the UK.
